Festival Programme 2009

 

Most clubs put on activities throughout the day, including:

10am: Under 17s cricket match on the cricket pitch to start the festival off

Active Mendip: Outdoor demonstrations of bushcraft and dramatic fake injuries.
Bristol Corinthian Yacht Club: Windsurfer training and sailing advice in the main field
Cheddar Angling Club: Information in the main marquee, casting on the reservoir
Cheddar Cricket Club: Nearest the wicket competition and coaching at the nets
Cheddar Karate Club: Demonstrations in the main marquee
Cheddar Kick Boxing Club: Demonstrations and taster sessions in the main arena.
Cheddar Local Action Team: Skate park information and 3D model in the main marquee
Cheddar PCSOs: BMX riding in the main sports field (own bike required)
Cheddar Tennis Club: Demos on the main field, mini tennis coaching, speed gun serving & beat the coach on the tennis courts
Cheddar Valley Junior Football Club: Coaching sessions, hit the cross bar competition and beat the manager penalty taking on the top football pitch
Cheddar Valley Rugby Club: Coaching and stamina sessions, tag rugby and throwing competition in the main field
Cheddar Valley Youth Hockey Club: Hockey skills in the cricket nets
Cheddar Youth Trust: Information on the Trust and grants in the main marquee
Gemini Tae Kwon Do Club: Demonstrations of kicking and self defence in the main arena
High Flyers Trampoline Club: Unable to attend on the day
Ki Aikido of Cheddar: Demonstrations of basic martial arts techniques in the main arena.
Kings Fitness & Leisure: Various activities including dance, table tennis, spinning and face painting in the main marquee and archery behind the tennis courts.
NK Opticians: Unable to attend on the day
Somerset Road Club: Unable to attend on the day
1955 (City of Wells) Air Cadets: Leadership exercises and problem solving in the main marquee
Weston Harriers Pony Club: Games on foot and on horseback behind the main car park

4.30-5.00pm: Tug of war for all, the final event to close the festival

Everyone trying five or more activities at the festival will receive a special medal
